Abruzzesse, Trudel, Booker Receive Women's Lacrosse Weekly Awards

Player of the Week: Kristin Abruzzese of Boston University (Sr., M, Medford, N.J./Shawnee) earns Player of the Week honors after scoring a career-high five goals and added an assist in the Terriers’ 11-8 victory over UMBC. Two days later, Abruzzese chipped in two goals in a 9-8 win over Stanford. Abruzzese has totaled 99 goals in her career, and needs one goal to become just the fifth Terrier in program history to reach the 100-goal mark. On the season, Abruzzese leads the team in scoring (20 points) and goals (13).

Rookie of the Week: Boston University's Alyssa Trudel (Fr., A, Middlebury, Vt./Middlebury) earns this week's Rookie of the Week honor. The freshman attacker had a hat trick to lead the Terriers to a 9-8 victory over Stanford. Trudel also added a goal in an 11-8 win over UMBC. On the season, Trudel leads all freshman and ranks third on the team in scoring (11 points) and is tied for second in goals (9).

Defender of the Week: Sarah Bookier of the University of Vermont (So., M, Lexington, Mass./Buckingham Brown & Nichols) is this week's Defender of the Week. Sarah played a terrific all-around game against Howard, scoring three goals while scooping up five ground balls, causing four turnovers and controlling six draws.
