Player of the Week: Jessie Groszkowski of University of New Hampshire (Jr., A, Reistertown, Md./Franklin) earns Player of the Week honors after recording a multiple-goal game in all four of UNH’s games this season. She opened with a two-goal effort against No. 8 Dartmouth College, then had back-to-back three-goal games against Yale and UMass and concluded the week with four tallies against Duquesne. In the game against the Minutewomen, Groszkowski broke a 3-3 halftime tie by scoring the first two goals of the second half and UNH led the rest of the way en route to a 10-6 victory. The ‘Cats trailed 5-4 against Duquesne until her goal tied the game, and it sparked the team as they scored again 43 seconds later to take the lead for good.
Rookie of the Week: Vermont's Mackenzie Dean (Fr., M, Annapolis, Md./Broadneck) earns the first Rookie of the Week accolade. She scored two goals in her first collegiate game, helping Vermont to a 9-6 win over Manhattan.
Defender of the Week: Liz Eberhart of Boston University (So., M/D, Ellicott City, Md./Mt. Hebron) is this week's Defender of the Week. Eberhart was the Terriers defensive standout against Ohio State, gathering four ground balls and causing five turnovers against the 4-0 Buckeyes. She also tallied one draw control in the game. To date she has collected six ground balls and caused seven turnovers.
