Sorrentine, Carr, Hehn Take Spalding Men's Basketball Honors

Sophomore T.J. Sorrentine (Pawtucket, R.I./St. Raphael's) of Vermont, Chaz Carr (Manchester, Conn./Manchester) of Boston University and David Hehn (Sarnia, Ontario/St. Christopher's) of Vermont are the final Spalding Men's Basketball weekly honorees as announced by America East on February 25. Sorrentine was named Spalding America East Player of the Week for the third time this season while Carr and Hehn share the Spalding Rookie of the Week award. It is the fourth time Carr has been honored this season.

Sorrentine averaged 23 ppg in two Catamount wins. The 5-11 guard made seven-of-10 three pointers en route to 32 points along with nine rebounds and eight assists in a win at New Hampshire Friday night. He added 14 points and five rebounds vs. Hartford as the Catamounts clinched the top seed in the America East Championship.

Carr averaged 14.5 ppg while making 11-of-20 field goals, including five-of-seven three-pointers, as the Terriers won twice to close the season on a high note, winning six straight.

Hehn provided the Catamounts with a spark scoring 15 points with three assists at New Hampshire Friday, then adding 10 points, six rebounds and four assists as the Catamounts clinched the No. 1 seed in the America East Championship with a 75-66 win over Hartford Sunday.
