New Hampshire sophomore Marcus Bullock (Cherry Hill, N.J./Cherry Hill East) and JonPaul Kobryn (Bayonne, N.J./St. Anthony) of Stony Brook are the Spalding Player and Rookie of the Week as announced by America East on February 18.
Bullock equalled a career high with 24 points in an 87-69 win at Maine Thursday night. The 6-0 guard made eight of 10 three-pointers to tie his own school record for treys in a game. Trailing 42-40 at the break, Bullock promptly nailed five-consecutive three-pointers in a decisive 29-10 run to start the second half.
Kobryn made 14-of-16 shots from the floor en route to a season-high 28 points in an 85-70 win over Northeastern Sunday. The 6-9 center made his first 12 shots and also added six rebounds. He scored 15 points and pulled down six rebounds in an overtime loss to Hartford on Friday.
