Terhune, Clark Recieve Women's Basketball Honors for Week Three

Junior guard Katie Terhune (Port Murray, N.J./Warren Hills)of Boston University was named the Wilson Player of the Week and first-year forward Jess Clark (Dover, N.H./Dover) of Hartford was named Rookie of the Week by America East on December 9.

Tehune became the 13th player in Boston U. women’s basketball history to score 1,000 points against Central Connecticut State. Scored a game-high 22 points against the Blue Devils. At the Moran Realty Classic, she led the Terriers in scoring in both games, earning All-Tournament honors. She scored a season- and game-high 28 points in the consolation game against Loyola-Chicago on Saturday (December 7). During the week, the Terriers went 2-1, with their first win of the season coming against CCSU.

Clark averaged 14.5 ppg and 5.5 rpg as the Hawks split two games last week. Clark scored 14 points, grabbed four rebounds and handed out two assists in an 86-72 loss at Dartmouth on Wednesday before coming through with 15 points, seven rebounds and two assists in an 85-63 win over Quinnipiac on Saturday. The freshman leads the team in rebounding (5.3 rpg), field goal percentage (.514), and free throw percentage (.739).
