Vermont junior guard T.J. Sorrentine (Pawtucket, R.I./St. Raphael's Academy), who has been sidelined after suffering fractures to both of his wrists in the preseason, will miss the entire 2002-03 season, coach Tom Brennan announced on Friday (December 27).

The 5-foot-11 point guard, the 2002 Kevin Roberson America East Player of the Year and an Associated Press honorable mention all-america choice, broke a bone in each wrist after a collision in an intra-squad scrimmage on November 1. His right wrist, where he had a fracture in his schaphoid, a bone directly below the thumb, has not quite healed slowing his return to playing shape. He also broke his triquetrium, a small bone in his left wrist, but that injury has healed.

Sorrentine, who led America East in scoring last year at 18.8 points per game, has not seen action in any of the first 10 games this season.
