Boston University senior captain Billy Collins (Concord, N.H./Bishop Brady/Rutgers University) and Albany forward Levi Levine (New York, N.Y./Manhattan Center/Cheshire Academy) were named America East Player and Rookie of the Week, respectively, on December 16.
Collins averaged 15.5 ppg and 8.5 rpg as the Terriers defeated Ohio and fell to George Washington. The 6-7 forward had his fourth double-double of the season with 19 points and 11 rebounds vs. the Colonials Wednesday (December 11). He added 12 points and six rebounds in 25 minutes in a 78-57 win over the MAC preseason favorites on Friday (December 13).
Levine averaged 16.5 ppg and 5.0 rpg last week. He had a season-high 24 points on 11-of-18 shooting from the floor and six rebounds in the loss to Long Island Wednesday (December 11). The point-total was the highest for a Great Dane rookie since February, 2001. The 6-6 forward also was second on the team with nine points in a 47-43 win at Army on Monday (December 9). Levine leads the Great Danes in scoring with 14.6 ppg.
