Northeastern sophomore midfielder Liz Dyjak (Ludlow, Mass./Ludlow) and Hartford senior midfielder Katharina Lindner (Kleinostheim, Germany) share America East Player of the Week honors while New Hampshire midfielder Kelly Stevens (Downingtown, Pa./Downingtown) and Stony Brook goalkeeper Cindy Bennett share the America East Rookie of the Week award. The final weekly honors were announced Monday, November 4.
Needing two wins for the Huskies to secure a berth in the America East Championship for the first time, Dyjak netted both game-winning goals in wins over Albany Friday (November 1) and Vermont Sunday (November 3). She also added an assist in the 2-1 win over Vermont.
Lindner had two goals and an assist as the Hawks claimed the No. 1 seed in the America East Championship and the right to host the four-team tournament. She had a goal and an assist in a 3-0 win over Boston University Thursday (October 31) and added a goal in the 2-0 win over Stony Brook Sunday (November 3).
Needing a win for the Wildcats to earn a berth in the America East Championship, Stevens had the lone goal in a 1-0 win over Binghamton Sunday (November 3).
Bennett made eight saves in a 1-0 win at Vermont Friday (November 1) as the Seawolves clinched their first appearance in the America East Championship. She added 10 saves in a 2-0 loss at Hartford Sunday (November 3).
