No. 1 Northeastern will host No. 4 New Hampshire in an America East Men's Soccer Championship semifinal game Saturday (November 9) at 6 p.m. No. 2 Vermont will play host to No. 3 Hartford at 1 p.m. on Sunday (November 10) in the other semifinal.
The Huskies and Wildcats will meet at Parsons Field (Directions) in Brookline, Mass. The Catamounts and Hawks will play at Centennial Field (Directions) in Burlington, Vt.
Northeastern (6-2-0 in America East, 9-7-2 overall) is making its fourth-straight appearance in the America East Championship and fifth overall. The Huskies were also the No. 1 seed in 2000 and made their second appearance in the title game last season. Northeastern has not won an America East Men's Soccer Championship, now in its 14th year.
New Hampshire (4-2-2, 10-4-2) is making its second-straight appearance and seventh overall. The Wildcats, who have never won an America East Men's Soccer title, advanced to the championship game in 1993 and 1994.
Vermont (5-2-1, 10-6-1) returns to the America East Championship after a one-year absence. The Catamounts won their third America East Men's Soccer title in 2000, having also claimed the first two conference crowns in 1989 and 1990. Vermont is making its eighth trip to the America East Championship.
Hartford (5-3-0, 7-10-0), which last won the America East Men's Soccer Championship in 1999 and has three titles overall (1991 and 1992), is making its 10th appearance in the conference championship.
