Senior guard Morgan Hall (Hanover, N.H./Hanover) of Vermont was named the Wilson Player of the Week and first-year guard Maralene Zwarich (Merriam, Kan./Shawnee Mission North) of Northeastern was named Rookie of the Week by America East on November 25.
Hall led the Catamounts to their fourth Banknorth Classic Championship Title. She was named Tournament MVP after scoring 18 points, grabbing seven rebounds and shooting a perfect 8-for-8 from the free throw line in 27 minutes in the championship game versus Providence, and netting a game-high 20 points and grabbing eight rebounds, with five assists, two steals and two blocked shots in UVM’s first round victory over Yale. Her key defensive steal in the final seconds vs. Yale set up Vermont’s win. She handed out her 200th career assist vs. Providence.
In her first collegiate game, Zwarich led the Huskies to a 62-29 victory over Central Connecticut State. The freshman started her first career game at guard and led Northeastern in scoring, only one of two Huskies to reach double digits. She tallied a game-high 17 points, and added five rebounds, while shooting a perfect four-of-four from the line.
