BOSTON— Three juniors, Boston University’s Katie Terhune, Maine’s Heather Ernest, and Stony Brook’s Sherry Jordan were all unanimous selections to the preseason America East all-conference team, selected by the conference head coaches.

Joining that trifecta on the preseason team are a pair of Catamounts in Vermont senior Morgan Hall and junior Aaron Yantzi.

Terhune, a 5-11 guard, was a first-team all-conference selection last year after leading the conference in scoring with 18.6 points per game. Her .829 free throw percentage was good for second in the conference.

Ernest, a 6-1 forward, was a first-team all-conference selection last season after leading the Black Bears in scoring (12.8 points per game) and ranking seventh in the conference in rebounds per game (7.2).

Jordan showed she was one of the most talented players in the conference last season, garnering first-team all-conference honors and bringing the Seawolves to the conference finals in their first year in America East after leading the conference in steals (2.7 per game), and ranking third in scoring (17.1 ppg), and fifth in rebounds (7.9 rpg).

An all-around threat and second-team all-conference selection, Morgan Hall was one of the catalysts as Vermont won its fifth regular season title. The 6-1 forward averaged 12.2 points per game and was second in the conference in three-point percentage, shooting the trifecta at a .402 clip.

Behind a .582 field goal percentage that led the conference and ranked 14th in the NCAA, Yantzi, a 6-1 forward and second-team all-conference honoree, led the Catamounts in scoring (14.0 points per game) and to the WNIT Quarterfinals, which marked the first ever Vermont post-season victories in national tournaments.
