Spalding Player of the Week: Vermont sophomore forward Aaron Yantzi (St. Agatha, Ont./Waterloo-Oxford) led Vermont to a 2-1 week. She averaged 18.3 points and 4.3 rebounds per game, while shooting 58.1 percent from the field and 67.9 percent from the free-throw line for the week. She scored a career-high 25 points in just 27 minutes in the win over Northeastern. Yantzi also set a new single-game school record with a perfect 10-for-10 performance from the field, breaking the old mark of 6-for-6 held by all-time leading scorer Karalyn Church. She netted a game-high 21 points and added five rebounds in UVM’s one-point victory at Maine and chipped in nine points and five rebounds in the loss to New Hampshire. She leads the team in scoring (11.0 ppg) and is averaging 16.8 points in league play.

Spalding Rookie of the Week: Freshman forward Katie McNamara of Vermont (Essex Junction, Vt./Essex) averaged 10.7 points and 6.0 rebounds in a 2-1 week for Vermont. She scored a career-high 21 points and grabbed five rebounds in the win over Northeastern. She was 8-for-10 from the field. McNamara added nine points and eight rebounds in the win at Maine. She shot 54.2 percent from the field for the week.
