Senior Errick Greene (Killeen, Texas/Belleville East/Kaskaskia College) of Maine and redshirt freshman Taylor Coppenrath (West Barnet, Vt./St. Johnsbury Academy) of Vermont are the Spalding Player and Rookie of the Week, respectively, announced by America East on December 3.

Despite playing with a fractured xiphoid process (sternum), most likely suffered in a car accident on November 23, Greene averaged 23 ppg, 6.5 rpg and eight assists per contest as an all-tournament selection at Michigan State's Spartan Coca-Cola Classic.

Greene had 16 points, six rebounds and nine assists in a loss to Lamar, then added a career-high 30 points, on 13-of-17 shooting from the floor, seven rebounds and a like number of assists in a 73-65 win over Indiana-Purdue at Fort Wayne.

Greene logged 36 and 38 minutes, respectively, for the injury-plagued Black Bears.

Coppenrath, who is the top rookie for the second-straight week, had a season-high 25 points and five blocks in an overtime loss at Duquesne on Monday, then added 19 points, seven rebounds and four assists in an 83-75 win over Lehigh on Sunday. The rookie is seventh in America East in both scoring (16.2 ppg) and rebounding (6.5 rpg).
