Boston University senior forward Nicole Soules (Springfield, Va./West Springfield) and Towson University forward Shannon Jackson (Columbia, Md./River Hill) were named Adidas America East Player and Rookie of the Week, respectively, for the final week of the regular season (November 5).
Soules scored two goals, including the game-winner, as the Terriers defeated Northeastern, 3-1 on Saturday night to earn the No. 1 seed in the America East Championship. With the win, Boston University will host the semifinal and championship games at Nickerson Field on the B.U. campus.
Jackson set up Melissa Mueller's goal in the 63rd minute to give the Tigers a 2-0 lead en route to a 3-0 win over Delaware. With the win, the Tigers earned the sixth and final tournament berth in the America East Championship.
