America East Sends Two to Women's Soccer Championship

America East Champion Boston University and runner-up Hartford were selected to the NCAA Women's Soccer Championship. Hartford will play Harvard at Storrs, Conn. on Thursday at 7 p.m. Boston University will play Rutgers at Princeton, N.J. on Friday at 4 p.m.

Boston University won the America East Championship and the conference's automatic bid to the NCAA Championship with a 2-0 win over Hartford Sunday. It was the second-straight America East title for the Terriers. Boston University defeated Holy Cross, 1-0, in the first round of the NCAA Championship last season, before dropping a 4-1 decision at Dartmouth in the second round.

Hartford is making its fifth-straight NCAA Championship appearance and 11th overall since 1989. The Hawks dropped a 3-0 decision to Harvard in the second round of the NCAA Championship last season after receiving a first-round bye. Hartford advanced to the NCAA quarterfinals in 1999 and the semifinals in 1992, when they lost to Duke, 1-0.
