Maine forward Karyn Magno (Canton, Mass./Canton H.S.) and Towson midfielder Julie Lambi (Fleetwood, Pa./Oley Valley H.S.) were named Player and Rookie of the Week by America East for the week ending October 7.

Magno scored three first-half goals and logged an assist in the second half to lead Maine to a 7-1 win over Boston University on Saturday. The three-goal outburst was the first collegiate hat trick for the sophomore, who played in just three games and did not earn a single point last season. The seven point day helped vault Magno into a tie with Jen Johnstone as Maine's leader.

Lambi scored three goals in the Tigers' three games. Lambi scored the go-ahead goal in Towson's 2-0 win over LaSalle. She then scored both Towson goals in the Tigers' 3-2 overtime loss to Georgetown in which she scored the game-tying goal with 15:05 remaining in the game. Less than two minutes later, Lambi scored the go-ahead goal as the Tigers took 2-1 lead. Lambi leads the team in scoring with seven goals and one assist.
