Coler, Goubeaux, LaBlanc Earn Spalding Honors

Spalding Player of the Week: New Hampshire sophomore outside hitter Alyson Coler (Monte Sereno, Calif./Los Gatos) helped lead the Wildcats to two conference wins. In the two matches last week Coler posted 29 kills, 20 digs and a .314 hitting percentage with just seven errors on 70 attempts. Coler had an impressive match against Stony Brook with 19 kills and 11 digs, committing just four errors on 47 attack attempts for a .319 hitting percentage. Coler also played well in a 3-0 defeat of Hartford, picking up 10 kills in just 23 attack attempts to go along with nine digs.

Spalding Rookie of the Week: Towson first-year outside hitter Liz Goubeaux (Lockport, N.Y./Lockport) had an outstanding weekend in two conference matches. She hit .545 in Saturday’s win over Albany with 14 kills on 22 attempts and one solo block and two block assists in the match. She rebounded Sunday with an equally exceptional performance over Northeastern hitting .412 with 18 kills on 34 attempts. She also had one solo block and two block assists in the five game match over the Huskies. Goubeaux has 93 total blocks this season, averaging 1.22 blocks per game. She is the team leader in hitting percentage with .390 this season.

Spalding Setter of the Week: Towson senior setter Andrea LaBlanc (Brookfield, Wis./Pius XI) is the America East Setter of the Week for the second consecutive week, and fourth time this season. Now averaging 11.84 assists per game with 900 assists this season, she had 42 assists in a three-game win over Albany. LaBlanc also added three service aces, eight digs and two block assists. She registered 64 assists and 23 digs over then co-league leader Northeastern on Sunday. She also added three service aces against the Huskies with one block assist and three kills
