Boston University senior forward Joachim Kaland (Fonnes, Norway/Austreheim Vidaregaand) and Hartford forward Alon Lubezky (Ffar Shmaryahu, Israel/Yovel Herzlia) were named America East Adidas Player and Rookie of the Week on October 22.
Kaland had three goals and three assists as the Terriers earned two America East wins. He scored two goals in the 3-2 overtime win at Albany on Friday and then added a goal and three assists in the 6-1 win over Stony Brook on Sunday.
Lubezky set an America East record with five goals and 10 points in a 7-1 win at Maine Friday. Lubezky broke the previous records of four goals and eight points set by Boston University's Nick Bone vs. Hartford in 1994. Lubezky added a goal an assist to contribute to all the Hawk offense in a 3-2 loss at New Hampshire Sunday.
