Tassone, Miller, LaBlanc Win Spalding Honors

Spalding Player of the Week: Drexel sophomore outside hitter Angela Tassone (Seaford, N.J./Trinity) totaled 72 kills (5.143/gm) with a .365 hitting percentage in three games last week. She had eight service aces and 54 digs (3.857/gm). She also totaled six blocks. In the win over Lafayette, she had 29 kills at a .444 hitting percentage.

Spalding Rookie of the Week: Towson first-year outside hitter Sarah Miller (Aurora, Ill./Waubonsie Valley) had 43 kills, 46 digs and four service aces in three matches last week. She had 14 kills, 18 digs and one service ace against Morgan State and hit .370 against the Bears. She registered 24 kills, 19 digs and two service aces against Loyola. Against UMBC she collected five kills, nine digs and one service ace. Miller hit .386 against Loyola. She led the team in digs in all three games and leads the America East in service aces.

Spalding Setter of the Week: Towson senior setter Andrea LaBlanc (Brookfield, Wis./Pius XI) broke the school record for assists in a career that previously stood at 3,578. She has XXX assists this season. She had a season-high 68 assists in the win over Loyola College. She had 51 assists in the win over Morgan State on Tuesday. Against UMBC, she collected 31 assists. In total, she had 150 assists in one week. LaBlanc also added nine digs in the win over Morgan State and had 21 digs in three matches and five service aces.
