11/4: Three America East basketball squads are ranked or receiving votes in preseason polls. Boston University is ranked 22nd and Vermont is receiving votes in the men's CollegeInsider.com Mid-Majority Top 25, while Hartford is receiving votes in the women's USA TODAY ESPN Top 25 Coaches' Poll.

11/3: Five men's lacrosse players with America East ties have been named to their respective national teams for 2010. UMBC alumns Brendan Mundorf and Drew Westervelt have named to the United States squad, while former Albany star Merrick Thomson is joined by current Stony Brook standout Jordan McBride and former Seawolf Rhys Duch on the Canadian national team.

10/27: The University at Albany field hockey team has risen in the Kookaburra/NFHCA Division I poll, up to 16th. Over the weekend, UAlbany locked up the top seed and hosting rights for the conference tournament.

10/27: Three women's basketball players--Hartford's Erica Beverly, Diana Delva, and Vermont's Courtnay Pilypaitis--were named to the Full Court Press Preseason Mid-Major Top 25 Players List. Beverly was a second-team honoree while Delva and Pilypaitis were both honorable mentions.

10/22: Reigning America East men's tennis Player of Year Sven Vloedgraven from Binghamton University won the ITA Northeast Regional tournament over the weekend to qualify for the ITA National Intercollegiate Indoor Championship, which will be held November 5-8 at Yale.

10/21: University of Hartford women's basketball coach Jen Rizzotti was inducted into the Fairfield County Sports Commission's 2009 Hall of Fame Class Monday night. On Saturday, the Stamford Advocate ran a feature on Rizzotti about her fiery competitiveness and how she got into coaching.

10/20: Albany junior setter Brooke Stanley, the reiging America East Player and Setter of the Week, captured a national honor from Collegiate Volleyball Update this week.

10/18: UNH field hockey knocked off 9th-ranked Boston College, 3-2, today in Durham. Reigning Player of the Week senior forward Meg Shea tallied a goal and an assist.
